Stetson Wright Follows Xtreme Bulls Win With Rodeo Win in Pendleton

After winning three of the four rounds at the Xtreme Bulls Finale in Pendleton on Sept. 11-12, Stetson Wright’s second act in Oregon was just as impressive.

The top-ranked bull rider in the world won both rounds of the Pendleton Roundup by riding King Rodeo and Wentz Bucking Bulls’ Lone Ranger for 87.5 points in the Long Round and Sankey Pro Rodeo & Phenom Genetics’ Bouchon for 89.5 points in the Short Round.

“All I think about is how many (points) I’m going to be, that’s the only thing I’m worried about at this point,” he said. “I’m feeling good, everything’s feeling good.”

Wright’s 177 points on two was six better than the second-place cowboy, World No. 2 Ky Hamilton.

His earnings at the Xtreme Bulls and the Roundup combined to be over $40,000 and push his season total to over $324,000, breaking his own PRCA bull riding regular season earnings record.
