Stetson Wright Climbs Through Wild Card to Win Saddle Bronc Riding in Fort Worth

Stetson Wright went 90 on his last two rides at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, winning the title with 91.5 aboard Ols Tubs Get Smart in Saturday night’s Finals.

“You wouldn’t believe because she’s small, but she’s so strong,” he said of Get Smart. “You have to guess and stay back and lift, luckily I did that today.”

Wright won a total of $25,888 at the FWSSR and now sits No. 2 in the PRCA Saddle Bronc Riding World Standings with $27,967. Sterling Crawley is No. 1 and has earned $31,182 for the year.

Wright, who was the only rodeo winner to come through Wild Card Wednesday, broke the Fort Worth Rodeo record with his 92 point ride in the Semifinals. The record was previously 91, set by his father Cody three times.
