Stetson Jorgensen entered the Pendleton Roundup squarely on the bubble, but after a big weekend, he finds himself inside the top 10 in the PRCA World Standings with under two weeks to go in the season.
Jorgensen opened the rodeo with not only his best run, but the fastest run in Pendleton. He stopped the clock at 4.1 seconds, which earned him over $5,000. After not placing in his second run, he had still done enough to advance to Championship Saturday.
Jorgensen posted a time of 6.5 seconds in the Finals to bring his three-head total to 17.3 seconds on three to get the win.
After the win, Jorgensen talked about his busy last few weeks.
“I am truly blessed to win this event today, but what I am really blessed is I had a little boy Tuesday morning... It’s been a hell of a week.”
