Steer Wrestler Timmy Sparing Set To Make NFR Debut

Steer wrestler Timmy Sparing is the No. 14 cowboy in the PRCA World Standings and is set to make his debut at the National Finals Rodeo this December.

Sparing finished out the 2021 season in the 71st spot in the Standings with a total of $14,819 only to propel himself into the Top 15 after earning $81,312 in 2022.

BIGGEST PAYDAYS

Rodeo Houston, $16,000

Sparing placed in Rounds 2 and 3 of the Houston Rodeo to earn $4,000 for Super Series 3 and went on to claim third place in the Championship Shootout Round to secure a total of $16,000.

Rodeo Austin, $7,050

A 4.5-second run in the Final Round of Rodeo Austin locked Sparing in at second place to take home a check of $7,050.

FASTEST TIMES

Reno Rodeo, 3.3 seconds

Sparing secured his fastest run of the regular season at the Reno Rodeo where he turned in a 3.3-second run in Round 2 to take first place.

St. Paul Rodeo, 3.6

Sparing made his second fastest run of the season with a 3.6-second run in Round 2 of the St. Paul Rodeo where he tied for fifth place in the Average and took home a check of $6,350.

NOTABLE WINS

Walla Walla Frontier Days, $5,122

Sparing took home the Championship Title at the Walla Walla Frontier Days after placing in both Rounds 1 and 2 to win the Average with a time of 8.0 seconds on two head earning $5,122.

Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals, $4,314

An Average win at the Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals secured Sparing a check of $4,314 early in the season after finishing out with an aggregate time of 17.1 seconds on three head.
