Steer Wrestler Taz Olson Dominates First Round of Bracket 3 in Fort Worth

Taz Olson had a good draw in what proved to be a tough pen of steers on Tuesday night in Fort Worth.

Olson was able to take advantage of that draw, going 4.3 seconds, which was .7 seconds faster than Timmy Sparing who placed second with a 5.0-second run.

“We got a good start and the steer set up right there and I was able to snag him and everything worked out.”

A check in Fort Worth goes a long way for any competitor, but for Olson, there is a little more motivation.

“This year might be a bit slower because we are going to have twins so we might be sticking closer to home.”

Olson will compete again Wednesday night as he looks to move on to the next round at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.
