Jacob Talley is setting his course for his first Gold Buckle after winning RFD-TV’s The American.
Talley, who entered the Wrangler NFR second and finished seventh in the world in 2020, is now No. 1 in the PRCA World Steer Wrestling Standings after his 3.87-second run in the The American Rodeo Shootout.

In a testament to the camaraderie of the bulldoggers, Talley’s hazer was Tyler Pearson, who would later compete for the $1 million in the same event. Talley said it was nerve-wracking watching the last two guys compete knowing he could potentially win $100,000.
Pearson ended up turning in a 4.82-second run to finish second. He is also now second in the World Standings with $31,269 about $26,500 behind Talley.
