Statler Wright Claims Reno Rodeo Title for Second Consecutive Year

Statler Wright claims the Reno Rodeo Saddle Bronc Championship for the second consecutive year. With an 88.5-point ride on Bridwell Pro Rodeo’s Indian Burn, Wright brought his average to 252 points on three head.

“Oh shoot, I’ve seen Rusty, I’ve seen Ryder, I’ve seen Stetson, everybody get on that horse. I knew he was going to be a handful but, as soon as he left out of that chute, I knew he was the real deal because he ripped my chin off real hard,” Wright said.

Reno Rodeo is special to the youngest of the Wright brothers as it put him in contention for the Resistol Rookie of the Year title in 2022 and this year, hopefully it helps him get to Las Vegas. To add to that, he is the only Wright to ever win Reno Rodeo.

Wright sits just outside the Top 20 in the World as the summer run kicks off. He is ranked No. 23 with $39,330 to his name.
