STANDINGS SHUFFLE: Cade Staton leaps 13 spots and into NFR contention

In the steer wrestling, the biggest mover recently has been Cade Staton, who went from No. 24 to No. 11 over the last two weeks.

Staton won more than $8,100 in San Angelo and also placed at the John W. Jones Memorial in Clovis. He has won more than $17,000 this year and the 28-year-old is currently in position to get to his first Wrangler NFR.

In the PRCA World Standings, he is sandwiched between two World Champions, Ty Erickson in 10th and Luke Branquinho in 12th.

World No. 1 Jacob Talley, the winner of RFD-TV’s The American, has a lead of almost $25,000, but the field tightens up behind him. You can see the Top 15 below and the full World Standings here.
