The Sisters Rodeo was the highest paying rodeo of the weekend as just over $216,000 was paid out at the second PRCA Playoff Rodeo in Oregon this season.
All of the champions took home at least $4,800 and they included a past World Champion in the saddle bronc riding, a record-setter in the barrel racing, and the No. 1 bull rider in the PRCA World Standings.
In saddle bronc riding, Ryder Wright continued to hit his stride with an 88-point on Corey & Lange’s Barmaid. Wright won checks of $1,000 or more at 3-of-4 rodeos on the weekend and his biggest payday came in Sisters with more than $6,000.
In her first rodeo since (), Katie Halbert was clocked at 17.19 seconds to set an arena record and win the rodeo by more than three tenths. She was well clear of the previous arena record of 17.34 seconds and she did it on her horse Melania’s third ever outdoor run.
Ky Hamilton claimed his fourth bull riding win at a PRCA Playoff Series Rodeo this season giving him titles in 20 percent of the 20 highest paying events in ProRodeo. He was 89.5 on Corey & Lange’s Stand By Me.
Other champions in Sister were Mason Clements in bareback riding (87 points), Josh Garner in steer wrestling (8.2 seconds on two), Lightning Aguilera/Jared Filmore in team roping (4.8 seconds), Richard Newton in tie-down roping (17.6 seconds on two) and Danielle Lowman in breakaway roping (2.3 seconds).
