Shelley Morgan opened up Bracket 2 with a 16.70-second run and a round win. Her time edged out 2022 NFR qualifier Bailey Choate by .01 seconds.
After her run, Morgan talked about her horse Kiss and how good she is in multi-run formats.
“She is normally faster as she goes so we are going to take her home and get her a good night’s rest and come back and hope she keeps up her momentum.”
Morgan and Kiss will be back tonight in hopes to advance to the next round in Fort Worth, a rodeo she has come to love.
“I’m super excited, this is such an awesome rodeo and it is such an honor to get to run here.”
