Shad Mayfield leads both tie-down roping rounds in Caldwell

After a 7.7-second run in slack on Tuesday morning, Shad Mayfield was even better in the evening performance by putting together a 7.6-second run.

“Everything happened pretty good and 7.6 is great,” Mayfield said. “It’s very important (to keep winning), especially right now, I gotta stay real consistent.”

Mayfield, the reigning World Champion, is No. 4 in the PRCA Tie-Down Roping World Standings.
