On June 11, Shad Mayfield and Cody Ohl had a 10-head match to raise money for Mayfield’s driver and close friend Corey Carrington, who is paralyzed on his right side due to spinal stenosis.
It was the third roping benefit hosted recently on Ohl’s property in Hico, Texas and this time more than $25,000 was raised for Carrington.
Mayfield ended up winning the match with an aggregate time of 123.60 seconds to Ohl’s 147.18
“What it’s all about,” Ohl wrote on Instagram. “Great memories helping the ones down.”
