It is time for the second set of Semifinals in San Antonio.

BAREBACK

Six-time World Champion Kaycee Feild and three-time World Champion Tim O’Connell are just two of the cowboys that are battling for a Top 5 finish tonight. Feild has drawn Cervi’s Daddy’s Girl who young gun Waylon Bourgeois rode for 88 points in Denver. O’Connell’s match up is Cervi’s Guardian Angel, one that is known to get cowboys to the pay window.

STEER WRESTLING

Reigning World Champion Tyler Waguespack is out tonight. He has won San Antonio back to back in 2019 and 2020. Looking to try and do the same thing is No. 4 in the World Tucker Allen and No. 6 Jacob Talley. After taking the 2022 season off, Talley is back like he never left.

The head side of this set of Semifinals is loaded with National Finals qualifiers including Tanner Tomlinson, Cody Snow, Dustin Egusquiza, Rhen Richard and reigning World Champion Kaleb Driggers. The heel side is equally as impressive with reigning World Champion Junior Noguiera backing in the box along with Wesley Thorp, Patrick Smith and Jeremy Buhler.

Chase Brooks has huge success in Bracket 5 and in the Semifinals, he has drawn Cervi Brother’s Target Practice. This horse’s one out of the 2023 season so far came with an 84.5-point score. Canadian and reigning World Champion Zeke Thurston has matched up with Cervi’s Two Cookies. Fellow Canadian Ben Andersen rodeo this horse for 82.5 points in Denver.

BARREL RACING

Another race of World Champions comes in the barrel racing. World Champions Jordon Briggs and Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi are among the NFR qualifiers running in San Antonio’s second Semifinals. Fan favorites Lisa Lockhart and Levee will also make a run along with Dona Kay Rule and Valor.

BULL RIDING

Stetson Wright, Sage Kizmey and Tristen Hutchings will be the talk of the bull riding. Wright has a rematch with Andrews Rodeo’s I’m A Savage who he covered for 88 points in San Antonio last year. Kimzey has Andrews Rodeo’s Casper. This is a bull he can have the inside scoop on since Trey Kimzey has ridden him for 86 points. Hutchings has drawn Pete Carr’s Choctaw Bingo who is unridden.
