BAREBACK RIDING
The bareback riding will bring us a rookie race unlike any other. Keenan Hayes and Dean Thompson have both have been dominant forces this season and in San Antonio they will go head to head. They sit No. 2 and 3 in the Resistol Rookie race and both are inside the Top 10 in the World.

STEER WRESTLING
National Finals qualifiers Jesse Brown and Tristan Martin are among the 10 bull doggers that make up Bracket 2. Both Martin and Brown made it to the Final Round of San Antonio in 2022 where Brown finished fourth and Martin broke out.

Cody Snow and Wesley Thorp’s fastest time of San Antonio in 2022 was a 5.3-second run but if Bracket 2 resembles Bracket 1, they need to be faster than that to make it back again. Coleman Proctor and Logan Medlin also made it back to the Final Round in 2022, can they do it again?’

Bracket 2 is stacked in the saddle bronc riding bringing us Ryder and Statler Wright along with Lefty Holman and Brody Cress. Ryder went through to the Finals in 2022 while Holman made it to the Semifinals. On the bronc side, we will see Arbitrator Joe, X Rated Dancer and more.

TIE-DOWN ROPING
Powerhouse and NFR calf ropers Cory Solomon and Shad Mayfield are two of Bracket 2’s ten cowboys out. Mayfield is looking to go further than he did in 2021 while Solomon is looking to once again move on to the Final round.

Reigning World Champion Martha Angelone is out in Bracket 2 along with Jordan Hollabaugh and Lynn Smith. The bar in Round 1 came around the 2.1-second mark but it is possible to see if get faster with the ladies heading your way.

It is also a stacked bracket of barrel racing and is any of the ladies’ game. Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi, Michelle Alley and Kassie Mowry all have phenomenal horse power coming into San Antonio. However, young guns Steely Steiner and Paige Jones are known to level up the competition.

BULL RIDING
The one and only J.B. Mauney has his three matchups set for the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. Those matchups include Beutler and Son’s Bonfire, Pickett Pro Rodeo’s Unnecessary Roughness and Cool Stylin. Two of three bulls are unridden but if anyone can cover them, it is Mauney.
