The big indoor season is over as the Texas Tour concluded at the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo on Saturday.

In bareback riding, young Keenan Hayes picked up the biggest win of his career by going 90 on Pickett Pro Rodeo’s Night Crawler in the Finals. The 19-year-old was 176 on two and beat out a group of NFR qualifiers that included Tim O’Connell, Tanner Aus and Caleb Bennett. Hayes won over $16,500 for winning both rounds.

In the bulldogging, it was a more experienced cowboy leaving with the buckle. Dakota Eldridge, who has been to eight of the last nine NFRs, had three runs in a row faster than 4 seconds in San Angelo, including a 3.5 second run in the Finals. Eldridge collected nearly $13,000 for the win.

In team roping, Colter Todd/Derrick Begay were 3.9 seconds in the Finals and 12.8 on aggregate. They won the rodeo by almost a full second. They were one of three team roping pairs to bank over $9,000 in San Angelo and actually finished third in the money behind Lightning Aguilera/Coleby Payne and Tyler Worley/Nelson Wyatt.

The saddle bronc riding was dominated by some familiar names - the Wright family. Ryder Wright won the Long Round, Spencer Wright won the Short Round and they finished 1-2 in the rodeo, with Spencer’s 177.5 beating Ryder’s 175. Spencer won $14,000 while Ryder won $13,000.

In tie-down roping, it was a tie at the top between Tuf Cooper and Tyler Milligan. Both were 23.5 seconds on three head and Milligan won the Finals with a 7.8. Both brought in high money with Cooper topping $19,000 and Milligan topping $17,000.

Dona Kay Rule dominated the barrel racing and won more in San Angelo than any other athlete. She won over $20,000 thanks in part to her blistering 13.96 second run in the Short Round. Rule won about $6,500 more than any other barrel racer.

Speaking of dominating, Toby Collins was the only bull rider to go for 2-for-2 which won him the rodeo and banked him nearly $13,000. Collins entered the Short Go outside the Top 10 in the rodeo.
