San Angelo Rodeo: Performance 10

Mason Clements has a rematch that could make big moves on the leaderboard. He has drawn J Bar J’s Night Lizard, a horse that he was 87.5 on in 2021. The NFR bucking horse was out in two other Texas Swing rodeos and Clements could make his out in San Angelo his best one yet of 2023.

Kincade Henry’s 9.0 was not enough for Round 1 money but it gives him a chance at the average. We know what the young gun is capable of and an 8.1 is what he needs to be faster than to find his way into the Top 12 and back for the Short Go.
Jimmie Smith-Tew got the Round 1 win in San Angelo with a 15.8 second run to cash in over $6,500. Moving on to Round 2 and the pace is set at Shelley Morgan’s 14.12-second run for the lead. All Smith-Tew needs to get into the average is a smooth 14.71-second run but the competition will be tough in this final performance.
