Ross Griffin’s Bracket 7 Round 2 matchup match up in Fort Worth was a horse he had been on before. Griffin rode Sankey Pro Rodeo and Phenom Genetics’ Speak Easy for 80 points at the Magic Valley Stampede in 2023. He bested that when he covered the horse for 88.5-points to advance in Fort Worth.
“The middle of last summer when I got on him, about that third jump he kind of did the same empty jump and I missed it and took me a minute to catch up and was only 82 so I knew right there I was going to have to gas it to get there and I got ahead of him and he just rode like a dream after that,” Griffin said.
This round between the two ended with the Go-Round winning score and it secured Griffins spot in the Semifinals as the No. 1 man while Leon Fountain will go in as No. 2 from this bracket.
