Saddle bronc rider Brody Cress on pace for highest average score of career

In the last four years, Brody Cress has qualified for four NFRs, won the Cheyenne Frontier Days three times, won the average at the NFR twice and finished in the Top 3 in the PRCA World Standings three times.

Despite all of those accomplishments, the Wyoming saddle bronc rider is better than he ever has been in 2021. Cress is averaging a career-high 84.42 points, which is up from his previous career-high of 83.19 points in 2020. Cress also needs just three more 85-point rides in the next seven weeks to set a career-best in that stat as well.

In August alone, Cress is 6-for-6 with three rides marked 88 points or better. None of the rides have been lower than 83 and all six have earned him a check.

Overall, he has won just over $111,000 and sits third in PRCA World Standings. His notable wins in 2021 so far include The Calgary Stampede, The Silver Spurs Rodeo (Florida), The West of Pecos Rodeo (Texas) and the Mountain Valley Stampede (Utah).

The Black Hills keeps the action coming from Deadwood Day sof ’76 Rodeo.
