Brody Cress got married on Saturday and took the lead at San Angelo Rodeo on Sunday. With 87.5 points on Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s Spotted Charm, Cress has a 3.5-point lead in the Long Round.
Spotted Charm is a horse that bucks in both the bareback and the saddle bronc riding. For Cress, what set him up for success in San Angelo was catering to the horse, who does not have any pressure on its head in the bareback riding.
“Just lifting on it, not pulling, giving them enough rein and just getting a good start… it helps me syat ahead of her, so it worked out,” Cress said.
This ride added to an already unforgettable weekend for the Wyoming native and he now sits in the lead of the Long Round.
