Canadian saddle bronc rider Ben Andersen is dominating Bracket 3 of the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo as he captured his second go-round win. This time, the 86-point ride came aboard J Bar J’s Painted J and with it came Andersen’s Semifinals qualification.
“Man, it felt so good. He kind of had a big scoot out of there and I was just holding my feet and I’m like ‘just keeping holding ‘em Ben, just keep holding ‘em the big one is coming’ and then sure enough, the big one came and everything just landed right and away we went,” he said.
It was fun ride on a great horse and Andersen’s mental game has set him up for an outstanding San Antonio this far.
Quinten Taylor, Ryder Sanford and CoBurn Bradshaw round out the Top 4 of Round 2.
