Ryder Wright Wins His Second Title From Sisters Rodeo

Ryder Wright picked up some momentum just in time for the summer run. The No. 6 ranked saddle bronc rider in the PRCA World Standings made an 88-point ride on Corey & Lange Rodeo’s Barmaid.

“It feels good to go anywhere and get the win but I haven’t had the best luck here lately so I’m glad to turn it around tonight,” Wright said.

The young horse of Mike Corey’s turned out to be just was Wright needed in Sisters, Oregon to get back in his groove of making standout rides.

“I’m pretty proud of her tonight. That was a young horse of Mike’s that he told me he raised, I’d never heard of her but I’m glad it worked out,” he said.

Ryder edged out brother Stetson (87 points) and uncle Stu (86.5 points) to take the title. It was a big weekend for the family in Oregon as Rusty also finished in a tie for fifth, making it four Wrights taking home Top 5 money.

This is Wright’s second time to take home the Sisters Rodeo championship and it added $6,000 to his season earnings.
