Ryder Wright has gotten off to a hot start at the 2020 NFR, placing in all four rounds, and claiming his second go-round win in Round 4. Wright won the round with an 89.5-point ride on Vold Rodeo’s Sun Glow.
Sun Glow and Wright have a history together. Wright was bucked off of the bronc at the 2018 NFR.
“He’s an awesome horse,” Wright said. “He jumped out of there. I think I got him marked out. He stalled; it’s always a little nerve-wracking when they’re sitting there not really paying attention. He was looking to the inside, but he left clean and good. That’s a big, strong horse. I have a history with him. He bucked me off once, I rode once and lucky to get the upper hand on him.”
Wright still sits in second place in the World Standings but has closed the gap between him and first place Wyatt Casper. Casper’s lead has shrunk to $13,000. The two have separated themselves from the rest of the field, Allen Boore in third place is just under $80,000 behind Wright.
