Ryder Wright made the ride that we were all waiting for. In Round 3 of Bracket 2, the World Champion Saddle Bronc Rider rodeo Calgary Stampdee’s Cincy Whitney for 89 points to cinch his first round win of the rodeo and secure a spot in the Semifinals.
“That was an awesome bareback horse of Calgary’s, never been in the bronc riding. I’d seen some videos in the bareback riding, he looked super awesome. I just knew if I did my part it was going to work out,” he said.
Wright went on to say that he usually likes when a bareback horse makes the switch to the broncs and it worked out just right in San Antonio. Moving on along with Wright is Brody Cress, Kade Bruno and Cash Wilson.
