It has been an impressive showing for Ryder Wright, who has now won three of six rounds at the 2020 NFR. Wright won Round Six with a record-setting 90.5 point ride on Hi Lo Pro Rodeo’s Billie. The previous record was 89.5 points shared by Cort Scheer and Zeke Thurston.
Wright likes the even number rounds as he has won Rounds Two and Four on top of his Round Six win.
“It never gets old,” Wright said. “That was a really good horse. I’ve seen her a bunch. I’ve never had her. She jumped out of there and did her thing. I got by her.”
Wright is still chasing Wyatt Casper in the World Standings but has closed the gap significantly since the start of the NFR. He currently is chasing Casper by just over $12,000.
In in the average, Wright is in first place with a total score of 525.0 on six head. Chase Brooks is in second in the average with a total of 508 on six head.
