Rusty Wright had a rematch with Yeti Rambler at the Red Bluff Round-Up in California where he rode the Rosser Rodeo bronc for 87 points and the win. This is Wright’s first win of the season and it came just in time.
“I was really excited. Whenever you draw that horse you know you’ve got a chance to win it and, you know, we’ve been at home working on our stuff and I felt confident coming into here. I knew the horse was going to do his job and I was happy to do my job. That was the best it’s felt in a while and I’m feeling really confident and ready to roll through the rest of the year,” Wright said.
When Wright came into Red Bluff he was just outside the Top 50 in the PRCA World Standings. This win pushed him to No. 36 and gave him a boost of momentum as there are big paydays yet to be had this season.
