Nevada’s Wyatt Denny has jumped to No. 15 in the PRCA Bareback Riding World after racking up almost $10,000 this past weekend.

A huge chunk of that came from his win at the the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo. Denny made a 90-point ride on Cervi Championship Rodeo’s Guardian Angel in the final performance to snag the win.

“This time of year, it’s a pressure cooker. Emotions run high and you’re just praying for good bucking horses like that and when you draw something like that it’s almost more of a head game to not mess it up,” Denny said.

He took advantage of his opportunities and took hom titles not only in Sikeston but in Logan, Utah at the Cache County Fair and Rodeo with 88 points on Barnes PRCA Rodeo’s Backdoor Johnny as well as in Coalville, Utah at the Summit County Fair and Rodeo.

Denny missed making his fourth National Finals Rodeo by just $683 in 2021 but this season, he is gunning for that trip to Las Vegas.
