Only two bull riders are a perfect 3-for-3 in the Super Series rounds in Houston, and Trey Benton III is one of them.

The seven-time NFR qualifier brought in $8,000, the second-most of any bull rider so far (Ky Hamilton has $9,000) thanks to rides of 83, 86.5 and 89.5 in Super Series IV. That 89.5, which came on Rafter G’s Indigenous, is the highest marked ride of RodeoHouston.

He also finished fourth at the Matagorda County Fair which concluded on March 4. Since the beginning of San Antonio, he has ridden 7-of-10 bulls.

Benton III is currently No. 15 in the PRCA Bull Riding World Standings and is averaging 85.8 points per ride. If it holds, it would be the third time since 2018 he has averaged more than 85 points per qualified ride.
