Tanner Butner AOW

Tanner Butner is fresh off his first National Finals Rodeo and you could say he brought back some momentum from Vegas. The Wyoming saddle bronc rider is your Roughtsock Athlete of the Week after setting a new arena record at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.

Butner matched up with NFR bucking horse All Or Nothin’ of Andrews Rodeo in the Second Round of his bracket and when eight seconds were up, the two marked a whopping 94 points, breaking the mark of 92 set by Stetson Wright last year inside Dickies Arena.

With a horse that is known to put up big numbers, Butner’s work was cut out for him.

“I was expecting a heck of a ride but that was more than I thought,” Butner said.

This 94-point ride paired with Butner’s Round 1 score of 84, cinched his spot in the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo’s Semifinals.
