Stetson Wright showed up to Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo to do what he does best. Win.
In the saddle bronc riding, he won Round 1 and finished second in Round 2 before winning the Semifinals on J Bar J’s Painted Commotion. He didn’t stop there, it was a 90.5-point ride on Calgary Stampede’s Xena Warrior that would split him the Championship with Dawson Hay.
The bull riding brought us Wright’s highest score in Fort Worth. After covering both bulls in his bracket with scores in the high 80’s, Wright would win his Semifinals with a 91-popint ride on Rafter G Rodeo’s Megalomaniac to cinch his spot in the Finals. He ended up second in the Final Round with 87.5 points.
Superman in Boots has a huge lead in the All-Around World Standings while also leading both saddle bronc and bull riding World Standings. The seven-time World Champion left Las Vegas in 2022 with the intentions of winning three World Titles in 2023. With leads like this early in the season, he is shaping up to do just that.
