Stetson Wright has already broken his own earnings record in 2022 with his season total climbing past the $430,000 mark. Wright is currently No. 1 in the PRCA Bull Riding Standings and No. 2 in the PRCA World Saddle Bronc Riding Standings.
Wright started out his week earlier than usual with a bull riding win at the Range Days Rodeo, which finished on a Wednesday, with 86 points. In saddle bronc, he finished in sixth place.
After winning the Range Days Rodeo, he immediately got a round win on the board in saddle bronc riding. He was 87 points to win the Long Round at the Horse Heaven Round-Up and would return with another 87 in the Short Round to win the rodeo and earn him more than $6,700.
Wright added one more win in the bull riding at the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo and picked up a third-place check at the Golden Spike Rodeo.
Wright has essentially locked up the PRCA All-Around World Title before the NFR begins, as he is currently $300,000 ahead of Caleb Smidt in second place.
In bull riding, he currently owns a lead of around $40,000 over Josh Frost and in bronc riding, he is $70,000 behind Sage Newman, who will enter the NFR in the No. 1 spot.
