Sage Newman is back in the No. 1 spot in the PRCA Saddle Bronc Riding World Standings after a big weekend at the Miles City Xtreme Broncs event.
Newman overtook Stetson Wright after earning over $14,000 at the event.
He opened the rodeo with an 89-point ride on Burch Rodeo’s Lily Stomper. The ride tied with Ryder Wright and Kade Bruno for first in the round.
In the Finals Newman placed second with an 89.5 point ride. Newman was second to 2022 World Champion Zeke Thurston who was 91 points on Lunatic From Hell.
The big weekend helped Newman open up a nearly $10,000 lead over Stetson Wright in second place and a $23,000 lead over Zeke Thurston who is in third.
