One of the premier showcases for bareback riders has quickly become the annual event in Darby, Montana, a town near the Idaho border with only 828 people.

In the four years of the Darby Xtreme Bareback Riding, only one cowboy has won it twice, that’s Kaycee Feild. The six-time World Champion did not compete in Darby in 2022 and won with 92.5 points in 2021.

This year, Feild was 93.5 points on Pickett Pro Rodeo’s Night Crawler in a Short Round that saw six cowboys match or clear the 90-point mark.

The 93.5 points are the most Feild, who is No. 4 in the PRCA World Standings, has been marked this season and the $12,000+ he earned was the second most he has made from a single ride this season.

With a total payout of more than $50,000, this year’s Darby Xtreme Bareback Riding was the highest paying standalone bareback riding ever.
