Rookie Saddle Bronc Rider Zac Dallas Joins WSR to Discuss Dominant Weekend

Two wins over the weekend shot Dallas up in the PRCA World Standings

Zac Dallas proved he is a forced to be reckoned with in the saddle bronc riding after two big wins South Dakota and Arizona over the weekend.

Dallas started off the weekend run in Fort Pierre, South Dakota, taking the Long Round on Harper & Morgan Rodeo Co’s Carolina Blue with a score of 88 points. He showed up and showed out in the Short Round as well, prevailing with an 89-point ride.

“There was two horses I wanted, either South Point or Joker Poker, which probably every bronc rider would say the same thing. Cole Elshere, he picked, he was second to last to pick and he didn’t get it so I knew after he picked I had it. I was pretty excited,” Dallas said.

After a terrific day in South Dakota, Dallas drove down to Window Rock, Arizona to pick up yet another check at the Home of the Navajo PRCA Rodeo.

Dallas’ trips to the pay window have shot his world ranking from No. 32 to No. 18. He will continue to be one to keep an eye as he hopes to keep climbing the World Standings while remaining No. 1 in the Resistol Rookie Standings.
