North Dakota’s Wade Berg made a statement with his performance at the inaugural Rookie Roundup when he left the Bull Riding Champion. An 85-point ride in Round on united Pro Rodeo’s White Diamond and an 80-point ride in the Finals on Pickett Pro Rodeo’s Punchline and Berg added $11,278 to his name.

Following the historical Rookie Roundup, Berg had two more paydays come his way at Xtreme Bulls events, one in Uvalde, Texas and one in Manti, Utah. Shortly after, a win at the Santa Maria Elks Rodeo came aboard Rosser Rodeo’s Western Madness and added another $6,599 to his 2022 season earnings. Berg hit a hot streak at the end of June, picking up two more checks in Minnesota and one in South Dakota. His final payday of his rookie season came at the beginning of September at the Walla Walla Frontier Days in Washington with an 82-point ride on Ghetto Spread of Bridwell Pro Rodeos.

Berg’s 2023 season got rolling with an 87-point win in Billings, Montana. It was the Chase Hawks Rough Stock Rodeo and Brookman Rodeo’s Stir Crazy that brought in almost $8,500 for Berg. In his home state of North Dakota, Berg cashed in a third-place finish for another $1,000 before he placed in Minot and Williston, North Dakota as well.

The 2022 Rookie Roundup Champion continues to show his skill set as he continues to add to his resume.
