Canadian cowboy and PRCA Rookie, Q Taylor, conquered one of professional rodeo’s toughest broncs to be your Rookie of the Week.
During the first performance of Redding Rodeo, Taylor’s match up was the stout bay of Bridwell Pro Rodeo, Indian Burn. The horse is known for getting cowboys to big scores if they can stay on and Taylor did just that. It was an 88.5-point ride that made him the man to beat throughout the next two performances.
Taylor said his motor starts running when he draws a powerhouse horse like that of Indian Burn and you can imagine it stays running when he picks up the win. He cashed in a big pay day of $5,104 and is now the No. 20 ranked saddle bronc rider in the PRCA World Standings while he sits No. 2 in the Resistol Rookie Race.
