Rookie Bareback Rider Ty Pope Keeps Redding Rodeo Title in the Family for Second Consecutive Year

The Redding Rodeo win in the bareback riding has gone home with a Pope for the second year in a row. Rookie Ty Pope drew Sos of Brookman Rodeo’s and he capitalized with an 87.5-point ride to be your champion.

“I think it’s a young horse but they’ve done a lot of good on that horse. I was excited to have it and it dang sure bucks,” Pope said.

With his World Champion brother as his traveling partner, Pope is embracing traveling down the road and he is soaking up the wins that come with it. He currently sits No. 24 in the PRCA World Standings and No. 8 in the Resistol Rookie race as the heat turns up for the summer run.
