Rookie bareback rider Daxtyn Feild is quickly making a name for himself in his first year in professional rodeo. Currently ranked No. 4 in the Resistol Rookie of the Year standings, Feild has earned $3,500 so far this season and continues to build momentum as the year progresses.
One of his standout performances came early this January at the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo in Denver, where he delivered an impressive 82 point ride in the first round of Bracket 1. That ride along with an 81 point ride in round two, secured his advancement to the semi finals in Denver.
Feild’s rodeo roots run deep, as he is the nephew of six time World Champion bareback rider Kaycee Feild. Along with competing at the professional level, he is also a member of the Tarleton State University rodeo team in Stephenville, TX, balancing the demands of college rodeos with the challenges of the pro circuit during his rookie campaign.
