Rookie bronc rider Gus Gaillard is quickly becoming one to watch, showing he’s a serious contender in the bronc riding world. The cowboy from Morse, Texas, had a standout weekend in Montana at the World Famous Miles City Bucking Horse Sale Matched Xtreme Broncs.

Gaillard rode J Bar J’s Shady Jacket in the final round for an impressive 88.5 points, landing him a second-place finish and a payout of over $10,000 in total.

He added to his weekend with a win in Liberty Hill, Texas, adding more to his total season earnings and solidifying his lead in the Resistol Rookie standings. Gaillard, a student at Tarleton State University, now holds a $20,000 lead in the rookie race and has earned over $50,000 this season.
