RodeoHouston is one of the biggest rodeos of the seasons with one of the highest payouts. Also being a coveted title in the sport of rodeo, this is one that contestants dream of and Super Series 1 is here.
BAREBACK RIDING
Dean Thompson is coming off an impressive run at San Antonio. He has drawn Calgary Stampede’s Xceptional Margarita to kick off Houston, a horse that got the best of Seth Hardwick in San Antonio. Richmond Champion has also matched up with a Calgary horse, Bigtimin Houston. This horse was a powerhouse in San Antonio with Kaycee Field and Kade Sonnier, now it is Champion’s turn.

STEER WRESTLING
It is a loaded Super Series in the bull dogging with every single cowboy having qualified for the National Finals and some have won the World. Jacob Talley laid low in 2022 but RodeoHouston was one that the Louisiana cowboy did attend and he’s back. He had a successful trip to San Antonio and is riding a wave of momentum into Houston.

The two are the only team in Super Series one who went on to the Super Shootout in 2022, however, Clay Smith and Jake Long along with Jr. Dees and Ross Ashford are among the new 2023 teams that are gunning for big wins.

BULL RIDING
The final returning champion is the one and only Stetson Wright. His first matchup is a rematch with Cervi Championship Rodeo’s Hard Knox. Wright was one of only two cowboys to covered the bull in 2022 and he did so for 86.5 points. Sage Kimzey will meet Cervi’s Alpine Fertilizer for the first time and a big score can be expected.
