A new group of athletes take center stage this weekend inside NRG Stadium

The second of five Super Series at RodeoHouston begins Friday night at 8:00 PM ET on The Cowboy Channel and Cowboy Channel+.

BAREBACK RIDING

Chad Rutherford’s matchup to kick off this year’s trip to Houston is a horse we watched in the saddle bronc riding last year. Cinchy Whitney will go back and forth from bares to broncs and Rutherford will meet up with the Calgary Stampede bronc for the first time.

Hunter Cure’s relationahip with RodeoHouston is a special one. The Texas native picke up a the win at NRG Stadium, winning the title in 2022. He is back to rebound after 2023 left him with only on go-round check.

We saw Coleby Payne rope with Clay Smith in Fort Worth and San Antonio but now, you can watch him with Jr. Dees. Dees advanced to the Semifinals in 2023, maybe he can do it again with a new partner.

SADDLE BRONC RIDING

Ryder Sanford has a rematch with Calgary Stampede’s Sergeant Whitney. The two went for 82 points in Kennewick, Washington last year. The last time the Calgary bronc was in Houston, he was covered for 80 and 81 points.
