Rocker Steiner Wins First Semifinal in Fort Worth with 90-Point Ride

Rocker Steiner started the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo fast and has not slowed down one bit.

After winning Bracket 5 with rides of 86.5 and 87, Steiner turned in his first 90-point ride of the 2023 season with Thursday night’s trip on Calgary Stampede’s Twin Cherry. The Semifinal win won him $4,000, bringing his total to more than $7,000 in Fort Worth even before Saturday’s Finals.

“Every great bareback rider in the world has a good or bad story about that horse,” he said of Twin Cherry. “I just didn’t want to have a bad one, so I kept my hand shut and my chin down.”

If Steiner were to win Fort Worth, it would be his first win at a Texas Tour stop. Chad Rutherford, Garrett Shadbolt and Tim O’Connell also advanced to the Finals Thursday night.
