Rocker Steiner Shines in Dickies Arena to Become Two-Time Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Champion

The Weatherford native claimed another Fort Worth Bareback Riding Championship in 2024

Every single time that Rocker Steiner nodded his head at the legendary Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo in 2024, he found himself at the top of the leaderboard.

It was no different on Saturday night when he matched up with J Bar J’s Straight Stick in the Final Round.

After the flank strap came off of Calgary Stampede’s Blasting Sand, Steiner’s reride was well worth the wait. It came in just half a point off of the arena record at 92.5 points.

“Look, if it takes me working twice as hard to win this rodeo, I’ll do it everyday of my life for this rodeo right here,” Steiner said. “What’s better than one Fort Worth title is two of ‘em.”

Steiner made four rides of 86 points or better in 2024, including two rides of 90+ in the Semifinals and Finals to claim the title for the second straight year.

Every single bareback rider who got paid in the Finals was at least 86.5 points and Steiner ultimately edged out Dean Thompson by a point.

The $20,000 payday has Steiner inside the Top 5 in the World Standings to kick off the Texas Swing with a bang.
