Rookie bareback rider Rocker Steiner was ranked No. 8 in the world when he suffered a knee injury at RodeoHouston that will keep him out 2-3 months.
“I knew at some point in my career I’d get a little banged up and take a little time off,” he said.
On Western Sports Round-Up last week, Steiner discussed how he sustained the injury and what it will take to get back to full health by the Reno Rodeo in June.
“My knee never hit the riggin, I tore my PCL and they call that the dashboard injury, like when you get in a car wreck and the dashboard hits your legs....It was kind of the same thing when the lower part of my leg hit the ground, it was really just my left leg hitting the ground so hard (that caused the injury).”
