Riley Minor is Ready to Take on the 2022 Season

Riley Minor’s 2021 season came to an end after he broke his ankle and dislocated shoulder in Pendleton, Oregon. Even after, he still competed at California Rodeo Salinas to try and make the National Finals and he was able to rope in Las Vegas at the World Series of Team Roping Finals and win the Open with Cory Petska.

Minor is back on the road, heading for his brother, Brady and they have had a slow start to the season. It could all turn around at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo and that is partially due to the horsepower that the minors back into the box. Riley’s horse, Bob.

“He’s been a blessing to me, you know, he’s been one of the greatest horses probably… He’s definitely slowing down a little bit, got to pick and choose where I ride him but he’s a tough horse and I’m just thankful to have him,” Riley said.

This year, at FWSSR, Riley has his work cut out for him inside Dickies Arena but fortunately his family is here to support him.

“I’m just happy to be here, win, lose, or draw. When I took that crash in Pendleton, man, it was a long road. Thankfully, I’m back,” Riley said.
