Steer Wrestler Riley Duvall has now been to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo three times in his career, but back in 2016 he was a 24-year-old NFR rookie.

He had already split the go-round win in Round 6 with a time of 3.6 seconds and in Round 9, the Oklahoma cowboy had his sights set on another check of more than $20,000.

Duvall was the third cowboy to compete in Round 9 and stopped the clock at 3.6 seconds once again, which moved him to No. 8 in the world standings. But with athletes like J.D. Struxness and Tyler Waguespack still waiting their turn, would that time be enough to give Duvall a go-round win?

Other storylines in Round 9 of the 2016 NFR include Ryder Wright continuing his push for a world title in saddle bronc riding, a 94.5 in the bull riding and a tight race for the all-around gold buckle.

Watch the entire 2016 NFR Round 9 tonight at 8 p.m. ET as part of our ProRodeo 40 Nights of NFR, featuring a round per night every night as we revisit the last four years of the National Finals.
