Retirement of Two-Time PBR World Champion Bull Ridin Solo

The 2022 & 2023 PBR World Champion Bull Ridin Solo took one final lap inside the arena at Cowtown Coliseum.

This past weekend at the PBR World Finals Elimination Round, one of the most iconic bulls in the sport of bull riding took his final lap in the arena. Ridin Solo, a 2x PBR World Champion Bucking Bull, was officially retired in a heartfelt ceremony inside Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas.

Owned by Cord McCoy of McCoy Rodeo Company, Ridin Solo has been a cornerstone of the sport, taking the McCoy family around the world from the National Finals Rodeo to Madison Square Garden and countless stops in-between.

His extraordinary career not only elevated the McCoy’s Rodeo Company, but has become the foundation of their breeding program. As Ridin Solo transitions into retirement, he will continue to pass on his genetics to the future stars of the sport of bull riding.

Cord, his wife Sara, and their daughter Tulsa consider Ridin Solo a member of the family, and could not have picked a better way to celebrate his career than retiring him at the PBR World Finals.

“We wanted to retire him at the top of the game and we felt like the timing was right here at the PBR Finals and let him go out on top,” McCoy said.
