Montana bareback rider Weston Timberman made the Finals in leg two of the Texas Swing at San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo and he followed it up with a good check in Houston.

The young gun tied with 2022 Resistol Rookie of the Year Rocker Steiner for a second place finish in Round 1 at NRG Stadium. It was an 86-point ride aboard On Second Thought of Cervi Brother’s Rodeo. This added $1,500 to Timberman’s name and as we know, every penny counts.

Timberman has a lead foot down on his rookie season as he has consistently made big rides and pulled checks since day one of the 2024 season. He currently has a $10,000 lead in the Resistol Rookie Race over Brayze Schill and he sits with the best of the best coming in as the No. 10 ranked bareback rider in the PRCA World Standings.

For the third time this season, Timberman is your Resistol Rookie Athlete of the Week.
