Resistol Rookie of the Week: Ryder Sanford’s Big Weekend at the Puyallup Cinch Playoffs

Ryder Sanford is fighting to the finish line on his rookie year and he is not done yet. Sanford showed up to the Puyallup Cinch Playoffs ready to perform, capturing a big win and making him your Resistol Rookie Athlete of the Week.

Sanford started off the weekend with an 86-point ride on Cheryl Crow of Brookman Rodeo to take the win in Bracket 2, Round 1. He advanced to the semifinals with 172 points on two head and made an outstanding ride for 89 points on Calgary Stampede’s Dandy Delight to take the win in the Finals and the Average.

Sanford entered the Cinch Playoffs ranked No. 19 in the world with $100,374 and No. 2 in the Resistol Rookie standings and after winning a total of almost $16,000, he emerged No. 14 in the world and No. 1 in the Resistol Rookie Saddle Bronc race by about $2,000.

Sanford is starting out his career with an impressive rookie year in the saddle bronc riding.
