Resistol Rookie of the Week: Q Taylor Rides Wave of Momentum Up the Standings

Q Taylor is giving it all he has to climb his way on top of the bubble watch as we near the end of the 2023 season. With yellow bucking chutes in sight, Taylor inches closer to a possible National Finals Rodeo qualification making him your Resistol Rookie of the Week.

The Canadian bronc rider is currently riding a wave of momentum and it resulted in pay days. An 82.5-point ride aboard Bridwell Pro Rodeo’s Big Diesel in Round 1 of the Horse Heaven Roundup landed him in the money and the Finals where he matched up with Calgary Stampede’s Wild Cherry. They put an 89.5 on the board to finish second in the Go-Round. Taylor also finished second in the Aggregate.

Aboard Korkow Rodeo’s Joker Poker Taylor made an 85.5-point ride than landed him No. 2 at the Kitsap Stampede, a trip that added over $4,000 to his season earnings.

His final success of the week was a win at the Colorado State Fair and Rodeo. Matched up with Jerry’s Justice of Kirsten Vold Rodeo Company, Taylor rode for 87.5 points to be the Champion.

Taylor sits No. 13 in the PRCA World Saddle Bronc Standings and is climbing the standings as he continues into the last month of the season. He is your Resistol Rookie of the Week.
