Texas’ own Brayze Schill has kicked off his Resistol Rookie year in style. Placing in two of three go-rounds in his bracket at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo makes Schill your Resistol Rookie Athlete of the Week.

Schill had every cowboy’s dream draw when he pulled up to Frost Bank Center for Bracket 2 Round 1. He climbed on World Champion bucking horse of Cervi Championship Rodeo’s, Vitalix Womanizer. She is the powerhouse paint that we see in both the bareback and the saddle bronc and Schill put together a ride that topped the leaderboard at 88 points. This is the highest marked ride of the rodeo so far.

Schill followed it up with an 81-point ride in Round 2 on Cervi Brother’s The Duke that put him in the money enough to bring his total earnings to $3,500. This tied him for the third and fourth spot in his bracket and that is just what he needed to advance to the Semifinals.

With $13,838 in season earnings, Schill finds himself sitting at the No. 15 spot in the PRCA Bareback Riding World Standings and he is No. 2 in the Resistol Rookie race.

Schill has tasted success and he is hungry for more. He is Semifinals bound at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo and your Resistol Rookie Athlete of the Week.
